Gene Lawhon
Gene Lawhon is a native of Georgetown. He graduated from GHS and Southwestern University and immediately went to work for First National Bank in Georgetown upon graduation. After a 23-year career in banking, Gene decided to change careers and started in the insurance industry in 2002 going to work for Dady Insurance, now Program Insurance Group and has 23 year’s experience in the insurance field.
Gene assists with a variety of insurance risks including all types of commercial, personal and life and health. Gene prides himself on service and works very hard to provide the best possible service for his customers.
Over the years Gene has been very active in the community, serving 6 years on the Chamber of Commerce, was in the first class of Leadership Georgetown, 9 years on the school board of which 5 of those he was president of the board. He has also served 10 years on the Georgetown Project Board as well as board chair and currently serves as board chair of the Wesleyan.
Gene is also very active in his church, St. John’s Methodist Church serving on various committees and boards for the past 40 years. Email: gene@pigbcs.com
